Hi there! I’m a 36 year old former teacher, nanny, and current animal rescuer. I have tons of experience with children of all ages (birth-middle school), those with special needs, and those needing extra tutoring help. I grew up in Ocean Pines, MD and graduated from Salisbury University in 2010 with 2 bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I moved to Florida where I taught 4th and 5th grade for 5 years at a Title I school, and worked as an ABA assistant therapist after school. I loved teaching and living in the Sunshine State until Hurricane Matthew came and I unfortunately lost everything. I then decided to move to NYC to start my next chapter, where I worked as a nanny for 4 years. My full time family was an infant and a 5 year old with autism, who I worked with until they were 3 and Read more 8 (when Covid happened). I navigated the busy city, subways, and countless therapy appointments and playdates with 2 children in tow (with the child with autism being an eloper), so needless to say - I feel like if I can do that, I can do anything ;) During my years in NYC, I also worked countless “one time” jobs for families needing date night babysitters. Through these apps, I worked a minimum of one extra job a week (often times with large groups of children from multiple families), so I have a lot of experience with new families and going with the flow! After Covid hit the city, I moved back to the Eastern Shore where I have been working at the Humane Society of Wicomico County and tutoring online. I’m always lookin for extra babysitting jobs to supplement my income, and would love to be your occasional or date night babysitter! I also create lessons and curriculum for teachers that I sell online, so if you’re needing something created for your child for some extra summer practice, I’d be more than happy to help. I’m available to chat and discuss more anytime you’d like. Please send me a message if you’d like to know anything further. Thank you! *I also have dozens of reviews that I would love to send to anyone!
