Meet Eleanor

Hello, My name is Eleanor (Ellie) Kwende and I am a senior at Towson University as a health science major. Despite my major, a lot of my personal experience has been working with kids. This experience ranges from babysitting since the age of 13 to mentoring students in the Baltimore area. From 13 I was babysitting my 8-year-old brother along with my younger cousins when our parents went to work. That experience further enabled me when I took a Child Development course in which we were tasked with taking care of children ages 2-5 for a whole year. I found that I enjoy taking care of children, finding different ways to be interactive with them, while also challenging them to achieve high levels through their growth and development. I believe that every child has great potential, and I wholeheartedly enjoy making sure that their needs are met. Lastly, I am a firm believer in continuously learning, and that's something I have found children are doing on a consistent basis. With that said my goal would be to find new and exciting ways for them to see and learn from the world.
