Hello! My name is Montserrat Esquivel. I am 18 years old, I'm currently attending Trinity Washington University as a Nursing student. I am certified as a nursing assistant and BSL certification. During my free time I enjoy spending time with family and traveling. I have always had a strong passion for children. I’ve been caring for children for 5 years. I provided care for a family in 2017-2018, two boys from ages 4 and 5 years old, and one girl aged 3 years old. I created fun and engaging educational activities for children. I would prepare snacks for them. I cleaned and organized the children’s play area whenever necessary, minimizing parents’ clean-up times upon their return home. I volunteered at the YMCA in 2015 - 2018. During my time at the YMCA I mainly spent my time with students in kindergarten through second grade. I assisted students with their homework Read more assignments and projects and also planned recreational activities for students. I communicated with parents in English and Spanish regarding their child. As a Junior Counselor for Montgomery County Parks, I was responsible for a group of 13-16 campers ages 6-13 and assisting staff with activities. I cleaned and organized the facility after campers. I also check-in and check-out the campers. I helped plan recreational activities for campers; take campers on field trips to various local Wheaton sites.
