Hello, my name is Kenyatta Corbin. I am a 26 year old professional, seeking a part time sitter position. I graduated from Frostburg State University back in 2014, with a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Society with a concentration in Legal Studies and minor in Political Science. I am currently an Event Management Assistant within a hotel. I live in District Heights and I have my own transportation. I have much experience with children of all ages. I have been gaining childcare experience since 10th grade of high school, working in a student ran childcare center. I babysat my niece, who is now 6 years old, for the entire 2013 summer. At the time she was only an infant, and I cared for her from 7:30am-5:30pm on weekdays. This taught me a lot about caring for an infant, which prepared me for the next jobs. Summer 2014, I had the Read more pleasure of becoming a helping hand for two families (both found on SitterCity!). I cared for a two month old baby boy for one family and a 5 and 10 year old for another family. After graduating from college, I cared for a family of 3 (also found on SitterCity), ages 8, 5, and 17 months. I was their nanny for 6 months on a schedule, and continued the next two years as their occasional babysitter when needed. The gaps in the ages of the children I cared for showcased my flexibility and ability to care for and entertain infants and school-age children. I possess the patience to properly soothe and calm an infant, as well as the energy to keep up with a toddler. I do not believe in sitting a child in front of a television for entertainment, so keeping a child busy will not be an issue for me. Aside from providing care, I am able to do light housekeeping as well as prepare meals if necessary. I am a trustworthy person who will care for your child as if he/she were mine.
