Hello, I am a mother of 3 older children. I have my degree in early childhood education and have worked on and off throughout my children's schooling. I believe a child should stay a child as long as possible. I am a big fan of outdoor play and social groups, like play dates for the younger ones. I believe each child is born with their need to learn the world within their comfort zone. If that means you have a shy one then holding more often for reassurance may be necessary. I have raised 3 very successful children as my youngest will be off to college this coming fall. My oldest is at GW law and my middle will be attending medical school as he just completed the MCATS! So proud of them all however most proud of my youngest since his learning style doesn't fit inside the box. However Read more he did it and has been excepted into 3 universities:) If you're a parent who wants to keep your child highly structured which means over scheduling them than I am not the nanny for you. I believe a strong foundation of play, socialization and environmental learning creates powerful individuals and look forward to meeting that parent who carries the same values!
