Often it is said that the oldest child takes the position of a second mother role. In my experience, this is true. I have 6 siblings ranging in ages from 13 to 2 years old. From remembering birthdays, appointments, making dinner, taking first breaths and steps, I was there. I only say was because recently, I have moved to college, which was a huge adjustment for them and myself. In the college aspect of my life, I am an environmental science major. Lots of love for our earth and outdoor wellness. In college, you run out of money fast, which brings me to now. I was looking for a way to earn money, but also aid my “need” to care for the littles like I did for so long. A bit more about myself, I am 20 years old, love disney movies, and love camping. People have told me I Read more am an old soul. I don’t know whether it’s because of my old Subaru or my love for 60s and 70s music, but I take it as a compliment. In terms of things I’m used to handling in kiddos, I have seen level ten walmart meltdowns to frustrations for not being able to colour in the lines. Usually, my distraction tactics are grounding activities like “Eye spy” or simply just taking a pause.
