I started my life as a caregiver at the age of eleven when my grandmother whom had Dementia moved in with my family and I became one of her primary caregivers. I would assist in her personal care, food and medication preparation and just provide companionship. I also began childcare at the same time, becoming the primary babysitter for my four younger siblings as well as for family and members of the community. I am active member in my church partaking in several children's ministries. I have worked with children ages infancy through seventeen years of age. I have worked as a toddler and preschool teacher. I have worked with children in foster care, supervising visits between children and their biological families, providing education and training to families as well as support for the foster families. In addition I also worked one on one with the children to support their Read more physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and growth. I am currently a Program Manager overseeing several Residential homes for adults with disabilities. I have worked with adults whom have Mental Illnesses and Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities providing personal care, medication and food preparation as well as skill building. I am currently CPR / First Aide certified infant through adult. I am a certified 'Direct Support Professional' and a 'Other Qualified Mental Health Professional'. I have a true passion for taking care of others, I enjoy being around people and I have worked with children and adults from all different walks of life.
