I am a caring and responsible kindergarten teacher and artist, currently based in Portland, ME. I have experience working with children in a number of capacities, from summer camps to after school programs, orphanages to refugee settlements, and private tutoring as well as baby sitting. My goal as a teacher and as a guardian is to provide a safe environment that encourages inquiry and celebrates individuality. I have experience working in a Reggio Emilia-inspired classroom (a sister method to the Montessori) and have taught students ranging from ages 4 to 18. I am Red Cross trained and CPR certified. I speak English (native), Italian (advanced), Arabic (intermediate), and elementary Spanish. I am happy to offer light household cleaning, laundry, errands, pick-up and drop-off, and am flexible with regard to hours and weekends.
