My name is Abby and I am a recent college graduate, working as a middle school science and math teacher remotely. I got babysitter certified when I was 15 and have been babysitting since around 13. I am also first aid and CPR certified. My experience with children started when my cousin was born, and from there I became the neighborhood babysitter gaining a lot of experience with kids at a young age. I was also very involved in the nursery at my church as well as being a camp counselor for 8-13 year olds. I like to play, be active, read, be goofy and have fun with children. I also really enjoy challenging kids and adding in educational aspects to play, asking children why and how, helping them gain knowledge and understanding. Before starting as a middle school teacher, I taught Pre-Kindergarten for 3-5 year olds. I think every Read more child has such great potential and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know every child and have their needs met. I am there to make them feel secure and comfortable when their parents leave, as well as to be their friend and keep them entertained. I love creating little projects with kids, as I think it's a wonderful way for them to use their imagination. I am very comfortable handing multiple children at once as well as many age ranges. I love playing games, coloring, making forts, baking, doing arts/crafts, and playing outside when I sit. I believe a quality babysitter puts children as their first priority, especially their safety, is a positive role model, and assists the children in coming up with fun and exciting activities so it is a fun and positive experience!
