Hi! My name is Hiran and I am a freshman at Stanford University that is currently home in Ann Arbor, possibly through the end of September 2020. I am a pre-medical student and am very passionate about social justice and education. I also love working with children of all ages. My prior experience with working with kids includes babysitting (1-4 kids, ages from 8 months to 12 years) for the last five years for multiple different families. I have also been a student teacher for a pre-school Hindu Sunday school class throughout the 2018-2019 school year. I love getting to know kids, helping them understand concepts and homework, and teaching them new things. I have served as a Peer Educator, teaching health classes in high school classrooms around Washtenaw County for the last two years and providing as a Peer Facilitator at Huron High School to mediate interpersonal and personal Read more conflicts and issues. Hiran is AMAZGING! Anyone who seeks to hire Hiran will be so impressed with her skills connecting to young children (ours are 10 and 14) and her ability to create meaningful interactions on zoom (thank you COVID) so that the kids enjoy their babysitter from a-far. I wish it were not a global pandemic and we could meet in person, but I think it speaks volumes to her ability to work with young children and play with them remotely! You will be happy you hired her!!!!

Hiran is amazing. She is well prepared, always on time and she is very creative in getting our children to work with her. It should be said that we are working with her remotely due to COVID and so she is connecting and working with our children on academics and story time and play over zoom. I think that this is worth mentioning because it speaks to her amazing talent and ability to do this all on line.
