My name is Cortney Richards and I currently am attending Ferris State University. At the start of the 2014/2015 school year I will be don't with 4/5 years of my schooling. My major is early childhood education because I have a strong passion for children. I have been babysitting since I was about 14 years old and since I started college I have also worked at two different children's camps. I am also the secondary caretaker for the foster children my parents care for (our current foster child is 8 months old). I have been trained in first aid and CPR for children, infants, and adults during the first semester of this year, although I did not choose to pay for the certification at that point. If necessary I can take another class and obtain the certification. I thoroughly enjoy not only watching children but playing with them as well Read more as teaching them. I love reading to them as well as coming up with simple educational games and craft projects to keep them entertained.
