I am a mom of a special needs child. My husband and my son both had surgery less than 1 week apart. I am looking for babysitting or caregiving positions to help with our current financial situation. I have worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at U of M Hospital. I was working on my masters degree when my son Noah was born. Due to his health problems we chosen to have me stay at home and take care of him. I have had many jobs in the past: Secondary Science Teacher / CPR and First Aid Instructor for various organizations / Babysitting Instructor / Burn Unit Tech at U of M hospital / Tutor in most subjects / Medical Assistant. I am a licensed EMT and Certified Medical Assistant. I used to babysit a lot when I was a teenager. I have experience with the following due to Read more our son's conditions or my past work experience :CPAP's / oxygen / medications /autism / ADHD / breathing treatments / inhalers. I could get a job at a store or hospital but then I would not be home to help our son every day. It is hard to find someone you trust with your children, especially if they have any special needs. We hardly left our son when he was younger. I hope I can offer you some of that personal care time you desperately need. Due to my son's medical conditions- I would not want to take a job if anyone in your house hold was ill or sick with a cold or a virus.
