Hi, my name is Valerie and I am interested in part-time childcare work. I am a mom of 5 Vikings ( as my husband and I call them). My two oldest have moved out, and I have 2 in High School and 1 in Community College. I have been a stay-at-home mom for (most of) 23 yrs. I started following my kids to school, and volunteering in classrooms until the school finally hired me! When I realized that my kids would rather be with their friends I decided it was time to get out of the house. My neighbor agreed and offered me up as a nanny for friends of hers. I obtained my CPR certification and accepted a temporary Nanny position, part-time, for an infant. I so enjoyed my time with a little again! My position ended when circumstances changed and the family moved from the area. Since that first job, I’ve had a family in town for two days for work and hired me to care for their infant for a few days. Then two very lovely families who each only needed me part of the week became my primary jobs and kept my schedule full. Then it happened. A job offer for Husband, in Michigan. Since we are originally from Michigan, we made the very difficult decision to move. Yay Husband. Bummer to leave the families I had been a part of. Pre-Husband and Vikings, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science at Central Michigan University. Being a bit of a wanderer, I found myself in Chicago working at an Ad Agency! My family and I moved to Greensboro about 8yrs ago, and loved having both mountains and Ocean available for our adventures. However, the never ending heat and humidity will not be missed. I enjoy getting outdoors daily, and perhaps it’s the Earth Science background, but I love taking the little ones outside and introducing them to the trees, flowers, birds, whatever we come across. Kids are such natural sponges, they soak it all in. Having the opportunity to smell or touch or hold something greatly improves their understanding of their environment.

Valerie has been AMAZING! We've been lucky to have her services for about 12 hours a week for the past year. She has beautifully cared for, taught and loved on our now 1.5 year-old son (who just adores her) while my wife and I both worked from home... as well as occasionally our now 4 year-old daughter (who also adores her!). Additionally, Valerie would support our child-care needs for weekends-away, sick-days etc. Valerie brought such love and attention to our kiddos, their evolving allergy needs and eagerly took them outside for daily walks and exploration. She has been a true gift. We are so sad that Valerie will be moving away, even though our youngest is starting school in the fall, we always hoped to continue relying on Valerie for her wonderful care of our young family. We hold her in the highest regard, and future families would be lucky to have Valerie as part of their child-raising village.

I have around 9 years now of experience working as a full-time EMT. I’ve cared for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. That’s given me strong hands-on experience with safety, emergencies, and overall care. Through my work, I’ve received training in; CPR, First Aid, PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization), PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support), as well as BDLS (Basic Disaster Life Support) and ADLS (Advanced Disaster Life Support). In high school, I completed an Early Childhood Education program where I got hands-on experience as an assistant teacher. I chose to assist with middle school math and elementary school science, gaining experience helping students understand concepts at different developmental levels. In addition, I occasionally assist my sister with her two young children. Beyond medical training, I’m patient, organized, clean, and good at keeping routines. I enjoy a mix of creative and relaxing activities like cooking, baking, arts and crafts, and watching movies or listening to music. I also love being outside—whether it’s going on nature walks, kayaking, horseback riding, or playing sports. I adore animals as well and have recently developed an interest in caring for indoor/outdoor plants. ***My primary goal is to provide a safe, attentive, and engaging environment for your children. To ensure every child receives the care they deserve, I use the following capacity guidelines: -Ages 5 and Under: Maximum of 2 children. -Over Age 5: Maximum of 3 children. **I have completed a background check through another platform and am willing to provide it at request.

I have two children ages 2 and a half and 5 months. Marissa likes to take my older one to the park, mill pond and on walks, anything to keep him engaged as he has a short attention span. She is good at attending to my 5 month old she is good at engaging with her and getting her to laugh. I would recommend Marissa as a babysitter.

Hello! My name is Moriah, and I am a dedicated, compassionate babysitter and caregiver with over 12 years of experience working with children from infancy through age 18. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development, and I am First Aid and CPR certified, ensuring your child’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I view babysitting as more than supervision — I see it as being extra hands and feet for families, offering protection, care, and encouragement while helping children grow into the best versions of themselves. I bring a calm, nurturing presence, strong communication skills, and an understanding of child development to every family I work with. In addition to childcare, I also have 3 years of professional cleaning experience, allowing me to help maintain an organized, clean, and comfortable environment for your home. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and supportive, and I look forward to partnering with families to provide safe, loving, and dependable care.

Moriah has been one of our children’s sitters for years! She is an excellent choice to watch your children. She is reliable, kind and energetic. She took the time to really get to know our children so that each time they are together is memorable and fun. She is always quick to respond to messages and keeps us up to date when watching the kids. She is respectful of our guidelines for the kids activities, food choices and discipline. She is our go too and the kids are disappointed when she isn’t available.

We loved Nancy! She was very friendly and engaging with my daughter. She gave her tons of attention and by the end of the day I'm pretty sure she liked Nancy more that me :) Thanks for helping us out last minute!

Rebecca is a great babysitter. I have a very active son and she kept him entertianed all day, which was 14 hours! He said he had a great day. My house was cleaner than I left it. No complaints at all. I would definitely recommend her.

Dian was an exceptional nanny for my son, Miles, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly trustworthy and reliable, always showing up on time and ready to engage. More than just a caregiver, Dian truly became a part of our family, treating Miles with the same love and care as she would her own children. With over 30 years of experience as a teacher in the Birmingham school district, she brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and understanding, making her a natural educator as well as a caregiver. Dian has raised three wonderful children of her own, and her nurturing, positive influence was evident every day. She knows instinctively how to balance fun with structure—you won’t need to remind her about limiting screen time, encouraging outdoor play, or teaching self-reliance and chores; she integrates these values seamlessly. Dian's creativity shines through in everything she does, from organizing sports activities, bike rides, arts and crafts, to finding engaging new ways to keep Miles learning and growing. She often went above and beyond, planning special outings after school if my work schedule required it. Whether it was a local event, a museum, or a new park to explore, Dian always ensured Miles had meaningful, enriching experiences. We miss having her around on a daily basis and still keep in touch, as she truly became a cherished part of our lives. Unfortunately, due to financial changes, we could no longer retain her services, which was a great loss for us. If she is still available, consider yourself lucky—Dian is an incredible catch. Her wealth of experience, genuine care, and proactive, creative approach make her the perfect nanny for any family.

I have a love of children from growing up in a big family and being the oldest. Kids bring lots of happiness and make life more of an adventure. I like to make a difference and show the kids that we can always have fun and learn lots of new things. I have been working in daycares since 2018 and started nannying in December of 2022. I’m also CPR and first aid certified. I worked with newborns up to 10 year olds mostly but more than comfortable with older children. I like to do arts and crafts and be outside as much as possible. I’ve done potty training and know also work to teach sign language!

Growing up in a large family, I learned to provide child care from a young age. I have always enjoyed the exuberance and innocence of young kids, and focused my career toward child care even since high school. I like assisting in the mental growth and development of the world’s future! I worked for the public school system in various positions over 6 years, primarily in elementary schools. I have been the lead Teacher’s Assistant in a daycare center and have been an active organizer in children’s programs, including Girl Scouts, as well as church youth groups. I have years experience caring for children, from infants to teens. I am infant and adult CPR and First Aid certified, and am certified through the State of Michigan in Nutrition, Food Safety and Sanitation. I have experience with medical support, such as insulin injections, disabled dependent care, and wound dressing. I have taken courses in childhood American Sign Language and Early Childhood Development, and have studied infant physical and speech therapy. For me, I have three grown children, aging 25-30. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, and doing arts & crafts. I live in Livingston county with my husband of 33 years, our two dogs, and cat. Thank you for consideration, I look forward to hearing from you!
