Hello! I am an experienced child caregiver looking for a child or two to watch in my home. I have an 8 month old daughter, who will also be in the home. I have 17 years of paid childcare experience. I began babysitting for neighbors when I was 10 years old. I've continued to babysit for friends and family members ever since. My first "real" job was working for Bendle schools. I was an assistant in their after school programs. I went on to work for Daystar Childcare Center, in Burton, for 2 years as an assistant teacher for infants, toddlers, and school aged children. In 2011, I began working at Child's World in Grand Blanc. I started out as an assistant in the infant room, then transferred to the toddler room as a lead for the younger toddlers. I ran the school aged summer program for a year, and Read more became a co-lead for the PreK program the following school year. When the lead teacher for the 3 year old preschool program left the company, I took over as the lead teacher in that classroom. I also worked for Lapeer Schools during this time, as a site supervisor for before and after school latchkey. Most recently, I worked at the Genesee Intermediate School District in a GSRP classroom (State funded, 4 year old preschool). I was the assistant teacher and bus aide to start out with. Near the end of the school year, the lead teacher quit, so I became the substitute lead teacher for the remainder of the school year. I have taken some college level courses in early childhood education. I have all the classes necessary in order to receive my CDA (Child Development Associates). I have also had extensive training in providing children positive emotional support, cognitive development, and positive discipline. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have been fingerprinted and have had background check's done through the Michigan State Police. I have a plethora of references available, upon request. I reside in the Atherton School District. I do have a car available, in case of any emergencies. I will be typically available Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm, but can be flexible, if needed. I would prefer to have one or two children full time during the week, but can also accept part time on a case-by-case basis. I am also open to caring for school aged children for snow days, holiday breaks, etc. I am willing to provide before and after school care if your child is able to ride the bus to and from my home. **Allergy Disclaimer** We do have dogs in the home
