Hi, my name is Valerie and I am interested in part-time childcare work. I am a mom of 5 Vikings ( as my husband and I call them). My two oldest have moved out, and I have 2 in High School and 1 in Community College. I have been a stay-at-home mom for (most of) 23 yrs. I started following my kids to school, and volunteering in classrooms until the school finally hired me! When I realized that my kids would rather be with their friends I decided it was time to get out of the house. My neighbor agreed and offered me up as a nanny for friends of hers. I obtained my CPR certification and accepted a temporary Nanny position, part-time, for an infant. I so enjoyed my time with a little again! My position ended when circumstances changed and the family moved from the area. Since that first job, I’ve had a family in town for two days for work and hired me to care for their infant for a few days. Then two very lovely families who each only needed me part of the week became my primary jobs and kept my schedule full. Then it happened. A job offer for Husband, in Michigan. Since we are originally from Michigan, we made the very difficult decision to move. Yay Husband. Bummer to leave the families I had been a part of. Pre-Husband and Vikings, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science at Central Michigan University. Being a bit of a wanderer, I found myself in Chicago working at an Ad Agency! My family and I moved to Greensboro about 8yrs ago, and loved having both mountains and Ocean available for our adventures. However, the never ending heat and humidity will not be missed. I enjoy getting outdoors daily, and perhaps it’s the Earth Science background, but I love taking the little ones outside and introducing them to the trees, flowers, birds, whatever we come across. Kids are such natural sponges, they soak it all in. Having the opportunity to smell or touch or hold something greatly improves their understanding of their environment.

Hello! My name is Sara and I've been working with children for 10+ years! I have a degrees in both Child Development and Psychology, specializing in ages 0-5 years. I've worked in a preschool with children ages 4months-3years for just over a year while working on my degrees. I've been a long term nanny for 3 different families for a total of 10 years with ages ranging from 4 months old to 9 years old. On the side, I've been a temp nanny for multiple nanny agencies in Los Angeles, taking on many extra shifts during the week with dozens of families in the area. In all, I've worked with children ages 4 months - 10 years old. I've worked with many, many families and love jumping into a job and going with the flow. It's incredibly rewarding for me to connect with children, meeting them at whatever level they're at. I am not looking for another full-time nanny position, but looking to supplement my current schedule with one-time babysitting jobs; mostly at night or on the weekends. Hopefully I fit what you're looking for and we an talk soon!

Hi. My name is Cynthia. As long as I can remember, I have loved kids. When I was a little girl and people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always tell them, "I want to own an orphanage." I ended up becoming an internal medicine doctor instead. I have recently retired, I am bored, and would love to babysit. I am extremely energetic, imaginative, and fun. I enjoy doing art projects and science experiments. Over the years I have collected over 200 children books, and love reading to kids. When my son was young, I bought him a binocular microscope, which i could bring over so we can look at things from bee wings, to pond scum. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, kind, enjoys hands-on teaching, and loves kids, send me a note.

I love being a sitter because caring for children brings me genuine joy. I enjoy helping them learn, play, and grow in a safe and positive environment. Every child has a unique personality, and it’s rewarding to build trust and see them light up when they’re happy or proud of something they’ve done. I also appreciate being able to support parents by giving them peace of mind knowing their children are well cared for. I have 4 years of experience caring for children of various ages, from toddlers to pre-teens. I’ve worked as a babysitter for several families and I’m familiar with daily routines like meal prep, bedtime, and helping around the house and organizing fun, age-appropriate activities. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and I have strong skills in communication, patience, and problem-solving. I’m also dependable, organized, and calm under pressure, which helps when handling unexpected situations. Additionally, I’m comfortable with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and helping bedtime routines.
