Hi! My name's Megan, and I just finished up my sophomore year at the University of Michigan. I have four years of experience working with children, including volunteering and eventually being hired as the a Volunteer, CBI, and Event Coordinator at the Play-Place Autism and Special Needs Center. Here I spent my days planning fun summer camp and field trip activities for special needs students. I ran an ASD summer camp for two summers providing an engaging curriculum, daytime care, and an enriching summer experience. Beyond that, I currently do research in the Center for Health and Physical Activity in Pediatric Disabilities at the University of Michigan, where I work with children to test locomotor and gross motor skills in order to develop early intervention strategies for children with ASD. In my free time, I am involved with Special Youth Outreach, an extension of Special Olympics Michigan, where college students Read more and special needs students play in Unified Sports Leagues. I am CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Medical Responder certified by the American Red Cross. I have babysat many families since I was 13, and would love to provide your children with a fantastic fun and safe summer!
