Having a niece and nephew (now 5 yrs and 2 yrs, respectively) has made me realize just how much I enjoy interacting with littles! It is a particular joy of mine to play dress up or trace things on the sidewalk with chalk or build “villages” out of sticks in the yard while we make up adventures for the pebble-people. As of fall 2013 I started watching a family's 1 year old daughter once a week for 4 hrs/day (which included lots of playing, snacks, making lunch, putting her down for a nap, changing diapers, singing, reading books, cleaning up sticky fingers and helping potty-train her). Though no longer weekly (as the family doesn't have the same need), I have continued watching her (and now her 6 mo old baby brother) several times a month. I also have experience watching groups of 15+ kids (K - 3) for SpringHill Day Read more Camps where I helped provide a dynamic camp experience by engaging their physical, mental and fun-loving nature with various activities for over 6 hours each day – including coming up with songs and games on the spot to keep them interested, learning and having fun.
