Hi, my name is Dallas and I moved to Michigan in January for an internship, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. I have around 8 years of experience in babysitting and working with children. I first started babysitting 2012 for a neighbor who had two boys around the age two and four. Duties included: assisting in potty training, cleaning up after the children, cooking, driving, and childcare. Initially I babysat on call, however, one summer I nannied for this family. I babysat for them up until 2017. From 2013 to 2017 I babysat on call for a German family with a son. At the start of this employment their son was two and knew very little English. Eventually, his English progressed. Job duties included: playing, putting him to bed, and evening/ late night childcare. The last nanny job I had was the summer of 2016 for two elementary school boys. Job duties included: cooking/ preparing food, childcare, scheduling events, transit, and cleaning. During college I was a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters from 2018 to 2021. When I started my little sister was six. I meet with little sister once a week after school. I provided tutoring with her reading and schoolwork. I also incorporated fun activities such as board games and exercise. During these times I was an open ear for my little sister. With COVID-19, visits transitioned from her school to community-based activities such as visits to parks, bowling, my own home, and coffee shops. All of these I was independently responsible for. I also provided transportation. This year I have babysat for a 20 mo yr old and a family of three that included bedtime care.
