Hi! I'm Sami and I'm 19 almost 20. I graduated from WLN in Commerce in 2018. There, I swam competitively and feel more than comfortable to watch children/be with children in the water. I am very family oriented- my crazy bunch consists of a 6:6 humans to dog ratio. I'm the eldest sister of 3 and I'm the 2nd oldest, behind my 22-year-old brother. Currently, I attend my local community college, OCC and do my schooling within online classes. I plan to be apart of an ECE program one day, or be a social worker around this area. My major is Mental Health/Social Work, and was previously Early Childhood Education— so I have had classes from both thus far! Senior year my high school introduced me to my passion through a program created for ANY kids with autism within the umbrella's spectrum. This said, I joined the program and I Read more found one of my closest friends. Having to care for a person with ASD, your own age, you learn so much. It is not only learning about others& what impacts/triggers them- but what you thrive from and can benefit from too. I am MORE than happy to work with any special needs children. My background goes all the way back to the Friendship Circle & volunteering endless hours after school to meet some of the most impactful people in my life. -Prior Corporate Daycare Employee INFANT/ADULT CPR Certified, First Aid Certified. For the next 2yrs. Starting Feb. 2019 -ASD trained/qualified companion and volunteer at Friendship Circle -delivery drove for 1+ yrs & am able to drive (w/car seats too) -Former competitive WLN swimmer, I AM comfortable with swimming supervision.
