Hi - My name is Matt and I'm graduate of Grand Valley State University (I majored in Psychology and minored in Philosophy). I've worked with kids for over 3 years and I really do appreciate the relationships I build up with the kiddos and thoroughly enjoy getting to know them, what their interests are, and fostering a positive environment for them to be themselves. I started as a group leader for TEAM 21 which serves as an after school program for kids who are struggling academically and in some cases socially. I made lesson plans, outdoor activities, and oversaw a classroom of about 20 children at West Kellogsville Elementary. I eventually became a site coordinator of Gladiola Elementary, and was in charge of overseeing all 100 children and five adult employees at my site. I've also babysat my nephews and niece countless times over the years. I've worked primarily with Read more school age children (6-10 years), but I'm comfortable working with children of all ages. I love making art, reading, writing, and enjoy when kids experiment with these activities too!
