I am the second oldest of 8 children. I have been caring for infants and children since I was 13. I have one son who is now 20. My husband and I fostered 2 girls for 6 years, they were reunited with their mother this last year. I do not have a degree or certificates and the only titles I have are those of "Mom" and "Aunt Mimi", as I am referred to as by most all children who know me. I have gone through the FBI background check required by my church for working with children. I work with children of all ages in our church. I volunteer my time in our nursery as well as assisting as a teacher in our K-2nd grade Sunday school and am a leader for our junior/high school youth group. While raising my son I needed to work in the professional world to Read more provide an income but now that he is grown I find that I still feel that I have a lot to give to children and the desire to do so. I look forward to finding a family to whom I can help with the enrichment for their child(ren)s lives, and enhance the time that they all have together.
