I'm a 19-year-old college student currently completing my BA in English and Political Science at Kalamazoo College. During the summer when I'm home in northern Michigan, I love caring for children as a way to both contribute to the household of another family and have fun. My paid babysitting experience began when I was thirteen, and over the years I've worked with children ranging in age from newborns to middle school. As far as babysitting and in-home care, my experience is mainly with babies and toddlers. In high school I volunteered with elementary-age kids through Big Brothers Big Sisters, National Honor Society, and a teaching assistant position at the local elementary school library. I also have some experience with special needs kids and administering special medication and dealing with allergies. I am recently Red Cross certified in First Aid and CPR.
