Hi, my name is Nkaajdu(Cando) Xiong and I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science. I am currently studying pre-nursing as a second degree and have many years of experience taking care of individuals across the lifespan. I have two younger siblings whom I’ve been constantly taking care of since they were newborns. In addition to this, I was a certified nursing assistant at a long term care nursing facility for two years before committing to nursing school. Working there taught me to be proficient in handling situations at high stressed times, multitask, and become very patient. I also served as a volunteer at Sparrow’s Mother-Baby Center for several years.
