I am currently a senior at Hope College in Holland, Michigan and I am studying Biology/pre-medicine. My mother has been an adoption coordinator for over 10 years so I have always been around infants. There have been multiple occasions where newborns have come home with us for a few weeks to a few months and I have learned how to care for young babies (even twins!). One child in particular I babysat on and off for over a year from the time she was a newborn until after her first birthday. Three months ago, one of my good friends had a baby boy and I am constantly helping out with him when I am in town. I know how to feed infants, make bottles, change diapers, bathe, and much more. Aside from infants, I have also taken care of children between the ages of 2 and 10. I have driven Read more to appointments and other places when needed as well. Another family friend from my hometown has three children who are a large part of my life. The children are now 2, 5, and 8 years old. I have cared for all three of them for multiple years, including the baby from the time he was born. I also have experience babysitting multiple children at one time. This past summer, I watched 5 children from the ages of 2-12 years old. Their father is a Physician who I have been shadowing for the past two years. In addition, I am a HUGE animal lover. You can find me down at the humane society spending time with the animals several times a month. I have two 13 year old cats at home who I take care of regularly. I have cared for large and small dogs for friends and family as well. If you are in need of a dog/cat sitter, I would be completely open for that service as well! :) I won Miss Michigan for National American Miss 3 years ago and I have an anti-bullying platform. I have gone to elementary schools and spent time with children talking to them about my platform. I enjoy interacting with kids because they bring joy to my life and and are a blast to be around.
