I am a mom to 2 daughter's (11 months apart) who both are living on their own and in college (so empty nester). Currently I work in a domestic violence shelter where i occasionally sit with the children during group counseling. I have such a love for the toddlers that they always follow me during my other job duties (which sadly, is not appreciated by the director or other staff). In the past I have worked in a day care center with 3 year olds and LOVED being with them. However, it was the way the center was directed and how the employees were treated I felt was wrong. I spent 6 months there, drove the bus for the school aged children as well. But being with the little ones was my favorite part of each day. I also spent time volunteering at church in the nursery and with school Read more aged children. I had spent 2 years working and living in a group home for abuse and neglected children. My current position had to do a criminal background check, which I am clean. I've also spent many years as a truck driver and safety is my number one concern behind the wheel.
