I became a caregiver because to me, children all around have so much for this world and so much to give. In my family, I'm known as the "kid stuck in a 19 year old's body" because of how play I seem to be whenever I'm around kids. During my first year of college I worked at the KRESA West Campus in Kalamazoo. I feel that by working with children who have developmental disabilities, it makes room to be more creative and go about things in different ways. After I finish my undergrad, I plan to get my Masters and then PhD in Pediatric Neuropsychology. Some of my past experiences with children would be the occasional babysitting with children around my neighborhood, and volunteering with children 7-10 in the Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield.
