Hi there! My name is Mara Taormina. I am almost 30-years-old and currently work as a Behavioral Technician doing ABA therapy for a wonderful company M-F during the daytime until around 4pm most weekdays. I love my job doing ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) with children of all ages (1-18 years-old) with Autism and other various challenges. I do Doordash occasionally for some extra cash, however I am now looking for a bit more steady extra cash possibly through some different care jobs for families that may be in need - especially since I have lots of experience with it and do find it way more rewarding than dashing! Right now, I am just looking to add extra hours sporadically in the evenings or weekends for either babysitting, in-home care or pet care. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from CUNY Lehman College in Bronx, NY. I lived in New York City for three years age 21-24. I earned my college degree & balanced my schedule as a nanny for 2 amazing families, as well as babysat regularly for many families in NYC. I left a job as a vocational direct care worker in 2020 teaching job skills to adults with autism and other related challenges in Northville, MI before a nanny position I took after the pandemic. I have done case management positions from rehousing chronically homeless individuals in Detroit to working at a Senior Center in the South Bronx. I am infant/child/adult CPR certified as well as trained in First Aid/AED, have tutored kids, done homework help and assisted children and adults with various skills. I've been babysitting since I was around 14-years-old with over 16 years of experience. More details on childcare experience: - Michigan: Infant/child care. Did morning routine, drop-off, pick-up, homework help, meals + light housework for the family I worked for from 2021-2022. - New York: I worked in SoHo as a nanny for an infant until he was almost 3-years-old. I took him to classes around downtown Manhattan regularly and traveled with their family out of state.
