Hi, my past babysitting positions started with helping my mom when I was 12 years old with her day care. She watched 5 children and helped with breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, play time, reading, school work and spending the quality time with the kids. It led into watching my sisters best friend when she was 5 years old up until she was 15. In college I was a first grade teacher aide where I helped the children with their reading skills their math and overall classroom duties. It led into working with the school district summer school program after the school year was over. I had also tutored elementary age children outside of the home for over 1 year helping with homework and social skills. I personally like to be able to help a child learn and grow. My fiance has 3 nieces and nephews who I also help Read more with their homework and volunteer my time to help with watching the two younger ones ages 5 and 10. I have also volunteered at their school several times with programs and his nieces girls scout troop. I have been CPR trained, my past has been about helping children and helping elderly. I worked for Porter Hills with the elderly who aren't able to take care of themselves. I gave volunteered in the college monoluge program by directing it and organizing and acting within it. It is a monologue that brings out the awareness of women and children who have been abused in some way, it is to bring out the awareness to help put an end to it and we have raised over 10,000 dollars within the first 3 years to help donate to the women's shelters downtown grand rapids.
