I worked at a daycare for half a year before I switched to a new job to try something new and and gain an all around experience to make me better suited for a variety of different jobs. Before I worked as a daycare teacher, I worked with many kids when I was growing up. Over the years I have babysat my cousins and neighbours’ two kids. My cousins were the ages of 1, 4, and 6 while my neighbours’ children were 2, and 6. When I was in eighth grade, I had experience teaching kindergartens for an hour I’m a half twice a week which I throughly enjoyed. When I started working at the daycare, what interested me was the idea of caring for kids and also teaching them academically but also having a hidden curriculum of teaching them of how to behave in public. I worked with infants Read more to eighth graders everyday and even though it was stressful, I still loved my job because the kids made me smile and were so interactive with me. What make me a good caregiver is I always find a way to entertain the kids, whether I create a project for them to take part in (that always has a learning factor into it),or a game that also allows them to explore their creativity. I always want them to feel comfortable enough to be themselves around me and should anything happen they know they can come to me for help or guidance. I’m very compassionate and patient with kids and i have the ability to allow them to have fun, but also take care of any responsibilities they may have. I’m very flexible all around and understanding and I really love to have the opportunity to work further with kids.
