I am a recent transplant from the Upper Peninsula, having moved here to be closer to family. During my younger years I was a stay-at-home mom and raised 4 successful children (two school teachers, one pathology assistant, and an HVAC tech). My 5th child is in the 9th grade at Huron High School where I am employed part-time. I have worked locally at Block's and JC Penney - both seasonal jobs. Previous to moving to New Boston, I was the administrative assistant to the CFO at a community bank. Had I stayed, I would have retired from there in the next couple of years. I am interested in childcare as I have not had much success in finding a job that is both enjoyable, rewarding and has the hours available to still be a mom to my 14 year old. I have not been paid to babysit since my twenties, Read more so I don't have those kind of references to offer. However, I did have a background check, pre-employment physical, drug screening, and fingerprinting done as a requirement for working at the school. Raising children can be trying at times, but with patience and a sense of humor, the end result is so rewarding!
