Hello, my name is Ashley, I am 27 years old. I have experience working in elderly car (home healthcare) and childcare. I am a non smoker. Drug and alcohol free. I have been babysitting since I was about 14. I have a younger brother who I grew up watching, he is 15 years younger than me. I have worked for a lot of individual families doing date night babysitting and longer term nany jobs. I also have one year of experience in home healthcare working with dementia care. As a senior in high school I participated in a internship with a local elementary school. During my time at the elementary school I worked with K-4th grade in their English as a second language, and autism resource rooms. I was mainly responsible for helping with school work, reading, and test taking. Although I worked in many classrooms doing a variety of Read more different things, the majority of my time was spent working along side the special education teachers. I learned about various disabilities (primarily autism and learning disabilities) and how to work with those individuals in order to help them succeed both in and out of school. I am comfortable working with up to 5 children at a time, from ages newborn-15years. I have a vehicle and great driving record, I do not mind running some errands If need be as long as gas is compensated. I can cook, clean and do household chores. My work style is to educate and play with the children in order to create a stimulated environment for their brains through creative processes such as coloring, workbooks, puzzles, and educational games and sports.
