Hey families. I am a Nanny with over 13 years of experience caring for children ranging from newborns to teenagers. I was a day care teacher in the UK and took care of babies from new born to 5 years old and after school programs where children aged up to 7. My childcare education began at Holly Comunitee Ed through a state sponsored childcare program called Summer Kids which I worked at for three summers. I received a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from UM with additional classes at OCC in Criminal Justice and Psychology to work as a caseworker. Hi! my name is Mariah and I live in Rochester Hills. I am 24 years old and am a junior at the University Of Michigan. I have my substitute teaching license permit as well as my certified nursing assistant license. My major in school is Health and Human Services and minor is in psychology. I am going to school for medical social work as well as a psych Dr. I love kids and have been babysitting since about 12 years old. I am very involved with youth and have been for some time in varying areas. One area was through my church COGIC Clubs, nursery and Vacation Bible School (VBS). I have volunteered in VBS for about 5 years, COGIC Clubs for 7 years and nursery also 7 years. This brought on a variety of ages, all of which I was very comfortable with. I have worked at a youth day camp every summer for the last 6 years and plan to continue doing so. This camp has a diverse age range and I always enjoy working with and getting to know every individual choosing to come to camp. I am very patient with children which I feel makes a more fun environment and really encourages the child to ask questions and get to know me as well. I am a very good Teacher and love being outdoors. Therefore, taking a child/multiple children to the pool, park, on a walk, playing in the snow or leaves, etc. is a very fun experience for me and the children as well. I am energetic and outgoing so I feel that I can keep up with just about any child fairly well. In short, I just love being around kids. They are awesome and a wonderful blessing to have around. Hi! I’m Melina, I’m 23 years old and I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life. I started babysitting when I was 16 and have been doing it ever since. I love kids! I’ve also helped take care of my younger siblings since they were born. (They’re 9&12 now) I have experience in all ages. Including multiple kids at once. A bit about me, I spend a lot of my time riding horses and hanging around at home with my husband and our dog. Previously in 2023 I graduated from Wayne State University and just 10 days after graduating, I accepted a new position in Marketing at a local car dealership! In terms of child care, I have around 7+ years of experience helping different families with a handful of different needs. Prior to my new position, I nannied full-time for a private family in Birmingham for close to three years. I helped with grocery errands, getting the youngest to school, getting the kids to bed. Hello! I have always had a way with children. I grew up with a lot of younger kids in my neighborhood and younger siblings so I became the unofficial babysitter for the parents. I have continued to babysit on the side while I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I have also worked with special needs children.
