The beginning of May I will be graduating from Saginaw Valley State University, with my Bachelors in Social Work and minor in Youth Services. I am currently residing in Michigan, but plan on moving to the Jacksonville, North Carolina area to live with my boyfriend who is stationed at Camp Lejeune. The plan is to be living in North Carolina by the beginning of May. Working with the youth population has always been a great interest of mine. I am currently employed at Growing Years Day Care in Saginaw Michigan, where i have been working as a teachers aide since December 2016. I am currently in the young 5's class room at Growing Years. Some of my daily responsibility are opening and closing the classroom, assisting with teaching lessons that go along with the curriculum, developing different crafts that relate to lessons that week or holidays, providing transportation to and Read more from field trips, communicating with parents on a daily basis, and ensuring safety of the children both inside and outside of the classroom. Some example of education that I assist on providing is letter and letter sound recognition, sight words, and number recognition. Along with working at the day care I have had past babysitting experience, both occasional and routinely. The ages I have provided child care from range from new born to 12 years old. Being able to provide child care for the past 8 years has been nothing but a blessing for me. I enjoy getting the kids up and moving and spending as much time as possible outside and doing physical activities.
