Meet Elaheh

I have worked with children professionally for two years. I am currently working towards my bachelor's in social work. I work at the Boys and Girls Club as an educational activities instructor. I am responsible for the supervision of children between the ages of 6-12. I am able to watch and maintain the safety and security of 25+ children at a time. As an educational activities instructor, my duties include; establishing and facilitating motivational contests, facilitating reading time, journaling, and hands-on educational activities. The most important part of this role is to make sure children are at all times safe, respectful, and learning by having fun. I have also worked as a phonics tutor and floor teacher with children between the ages of 6-13. Primary responsibilities were; teaching children basic and advanced phonics and reading skills, along with ensuring children were using proper techniques to finish their work in an Read more adequate manner. I am also part of a very rewarding organization called College Mentors for Kids, where I am the activity planner and mentor. The activities I plan must include; Skill building activity, hands-on activities, and a journal prompt. I have mentored children ages 8-12. I am able to provide excellent care to children all while incorporating fun and educational activities!
