I work as a para educator in a special needs classroom in the Rochester school district with middle school aged children with extreme physical and cognitive impairments, and have experience working with both younger and older children as well. I am also the mom of a 17-year-old daughter diagnosed with ADD. I am very patient and am a non-smoker/non-drug user with an excellent driving record. I like pets (dogs/cats/bunnies), and enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time outside in nice weather. I am available for babysitting/senior care/respite care from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. weekdays, and occasional Friday/Saturday evenings for date nights out for parents. On occasion, I am also available for overnight care on weekends, but I do own a cottage in northern Michigan where I spend the majority of my weekends with my family - if you need weekend help, I can meet that need with advance notice. I've Read more been fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend multiple summers volunteering as a campground host for the Michigan State Park Campground system - this gave me the opportunity to spend time developing a love of arts and crafts. I live in Rochester Hills near Oakland University; I would prefer to find jobs fairly close to my home (within 10 miles) so that both you and I can be sure that winter weather will not be a problem making it to your home on schedule.
