Hey, my name’s Jen, and I live in the Holland area! To start from the beginning, I was basically born into daycare—my mom had an in-home daycare growing up. Luckily for her, I was a born helper, so as soon as I was old enough to help, oh man, was I on it! 😂 Eventually, that turned into babysitting my neighbors during the summers and after school whenever they needed me. At 18, I started working at daycare centers as a lead teacher, and eventually, I nannied part-time for a while as well. I’m also First Aid and CPR certified, including infant CPR. I have all of my required training hours completed through the MI Registry, including the health and safety training courses. I did have my CDA certification, but because I switched jobs, I saw no need for it since I’m not in a childcare classroom anymore. My schedule can be pretty open; it just depends on the week.
