Hey, my name’s Jen, and I live in the Holland area! To start from the beginning, I was basically born into daycare—my mom had an in-home daycare growing up. Luckily for her, I was a born helper, so as soon as I was old enough to help, oh man, was I on it! 😂 Eventually, that turned into babysitting my neighbors during the summers and after school whenever they needed me. At 18, I started working at daycare centers as a lead teacher, and eventually, I nannied part-time for a while as well. I recently left my dream job at the best center ever to start a small business with my husband! Oh, but girl, do I miss hanging out with the kiddos!! Since I have a little more free time than I did before, I would love to get back to what I genuinely enjoyed doing—which is connecting with, Read more playing with, and caring for the kids, as well as holding sweet babies (even when they cry❤️). I’ve worked with every age group at the centers I’ve worked at, including school-age children, but for the last three years, I was a lead teacher in an infant/toddler classroom! I’m also First Aid and CPR certified, including infant CPR. I have all of my required training hours completed through the MI Registry, including the health and safety training courses. I did have my CDA certification, but because I switched jobs, I saw no need for it since I’m not in a childcare classroom anymore. My schedule can be pretty open; it just depends on the week.
