Hi, families I’m Makenna. I am a 20 yr old babysitter/ nanny from Downriver, Mi. I love being able to make a positive difference in children’s lives. Whether just being there as a a support babysitter/ or being the regular daily nanny. I can make a big difference within a small amount of time. In my own family I am the eldest of 5 ages 14, 9,8, and 5. I am also the eldest of my maternal side of 12 other younger cousins that I am also very regularly in proximity with. In addition to that I also have formal childcare experience with all ages where I worked as an assistant childcare teacher at Little Jungle Tree Network, in Allen Park Mi for about a 2 summers and a few extra months- for a combined time of 2 years. This is my first time on a formal sitter site, so hoping my experience goes well here. After a few interactions go well, I personally like to meet with the families to make sure the child(ren) and I will be a good fit- and to help the parents gain comfortability and confidence in my abilities and dependability. What sets me apart is my experience with formal organizational (Montessori based) childcare, working with children with “behavior issues”, and my most used skill- actively working kids ranging on the spectrum from autism to ADHD, as I’m very familiar with it myself.
