Hey! My name is Ali, and I want to be your babysitter. I’d love to hang out with and care for your kids, and I think I’d be great with them. The reason I think I would be great with your kids is because I want to build a real relationship with them. I want to get to know them as people, and have a positive connection with them. I also have previous paid care experience with kids, as well as time spent just hanging out with kids. One of my experiences with kids was in the summer when I was 16 years old. For about 10 weeks, I was a full time nanny for two children, ages 3 and 6 at the time. These girls were, and are, my second cousins; their parents hired me to be a nanny so they could work out of the house. When I Read more took the opportunity, I didn’t realize that it would be one of the best summers of my life. I spent each day with the kids, doing many different things. Like arts and crafts, doing learning activities and looking over educational material, light meal prep, driving them to various sports groups or parks, playing outside, and just having fun! But best of all, I got to develop a relationship with them. I already loved them, but I grew to love them even more. Getting to know these girls was an amazing experience, both as a way for me to grow, and as a way to make a loving lifetime connection. Another experience I’ve had with kids was for four years when I was ages 14-18 as a “big sister” in a group called “MAJIK”. It was a group of about 30 girls, ages approximately ranging from 6 to 18. The younger girls were “little sisters” and the older girls were “big sisters”. We met about once every month, and did various activities from decorating cookies to going to water parks. As a “big sister”, I was a role model for my three “little sisters”. I would hang out with them at the get togethers and have fun with them. I built relationships with them, and I had a wonderful time with them. So, because of these experiences with kids, I think I would be a great person to babysit your kids.
