I can be both a babysitter and a nanny since I have been both before. When I nannied I did so for 3 children: a 5-year-old girl, a 2-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy. When I nannied them I read to the children for the day, provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks, entertained the children, took them to local parks, played in backyard and in pool, watched movies (based on age-appropriateness) and ensured that the children took naps. I also accompanied the children's mother on work-related and leisure activities in order to supervise the children, and I cleaned up after the meals. I absolutely love children! My major in college is currently Early Childhood Education. The reason why I want to be an Early Childhood teacher is because I was blessed to have amazing teachers growing up, and they inspired me to want to teach other children. Simply because I found Read more out from my other friends who went to different schools that they had horrible teachers. So I decided as a child myself that I wanted to make a positive difference in children's lives, and I still do. I've been told that the world needs great teacher's that will encourage children to do their best, help them reach their goals so they can follow their dreams, and be the best version of themselves that they can be. I want to be a great teacher that will help change and influence children in a positive way just like my elementary teachers and Daycare teachers did for me. I am the oldest of my three younger sisters and I have helped babysit them from the time I was 10 until I was 18. So I know how important it is to be a good role model for children, and I strive to be the best example that I can be. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I am a non-smoker and have my own car. I worked at a daycare called Learn and Grow (South Location) which is located in the Blaine Human Service Center for 3 years.
