I grew up as the oldest sibling helping my single mother, so I was almost trained into childcare. In addition to that, my first job as a 16-18 year old was a nanny. I enjoyed making meals, making weekly schedules, activities with kids, arts and crafts, and science projects. Since then, I’ve worked a wide variety of child care positions, including the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities, YMCA of the North, and even in a Montessori school. My college education has primarily been in developmental psychology, so I’m very interested in using evidence based learning methods with children. The techniques I’ve found that work best with kids are a stable schedule and gentle parenting. Not only am I very experienced working with kids, but I truly enjoy it! Hope to meet you soon! -Trina
