Working with children means seeing the world from a different perspective; they're inquisitive, adventurous, and kind in the most genuine way. I believe fostering curiosity in a child is a great way to help them grow independently. I have spent the last two years working in Cairo, Egypt as a teacher, from kindergarten to 5th grade. My current position is as an English speaking teacher at a progressive, tri-lingual (English, Arabic, and German) kindergarten with a Reggio Emilia and Montessori based pedagogy. Monthly trainings include topics such as first aid, project-based learning, and support for working with children who have special needs. Before Cairo, I also coached baseball in New Delhi, India, did multiple month-long programs in Lusaka, Zambia working with vulnerable youth and education, and spent a year as an Americorps volunteer in a Boston preschool.
