I am a third-year student at the University of Minnesota who is committed to a position as an elementary educator through Teach for America beginning in the fall of 2021. When working with young people I'm focused on providing an environment centered on care and character, where curious inquiry and play cultivate lessons in responsibility and personal agency. I'm a positive, thoughtful, and gracious caretaker who finds a lot of joy and fulfillment in working with children. I find it really important to integrate various outdoor and creative activities into our daily routine and to use screen-time as an opportunity for active, productive engagement. I have experience in tutoring and am excited to integrate formal and informal learning into our routine as well.
