Hi! My 3 year old and I are looking to babysit or nanny for a family who would be happy to have a playmate around. My approach to childcare is to encourage free play, movement, exploration, and outdoor time experiencing the seasons. I believe that learning through play is foundational to early childhood, and that it is my role to providing a calming, nurturing environment for children to investigate and experience the world around them. Any boundaries that may need to be set for little ones to get along is always done with respect, and gently yet firmly. In my experience, children learn best through modeling behavior and I am mindful to set an example and lead them in positive interactions with one another. My childcare experience spans a decade and includes work in a childcare center with infants and toddlers, nannying a 5 and 7 year old, caring for Read more my nephew into toddlerhood, motherhood to my 3 year old, and most recently babysitting for a 1.5 and 4 year old with my son along. My son has a natural love for other little ones and babies, and has really enjoyed playtime with friends while we babysit. My bachelor’s degree is in psychology and I have experience as a caregiver for elderly patients with dementia and as a pediatric medical secretary. I have previous CPR certification from work.
