I have been in the childcare business for the past seven years. My experience has ranged from being a babysitter as needed, a regular nanny, and an overnight camp counselor. As a babysitter I took care of a range of needs: waking up the children, preparing and feeding them a variety of meals, getting the children off to school, driving children to activities, cleaning the house, and taking care of 0-6-month-olds (changing diapers, feeding the baby formula, putting them down to sleep, soothing crying babies). While being a camp counselor, I was in charge of each age range of child (5-18-year-olds) for two weeks each. I was a counselor for a total of eight weeks at an intense Spanish emersion camp.
