I have worked with children for over 20 years. I started babysitting at the age of 12, after taking a babysitting class at my local community center. In college, I was a nanny for 2 summers with a family who had 3 children. One of their daughters was disabled and needed assistance eating and toileting, as well as consistent monitoring in most activities. I studied Music Therapy for 4 years and have worked a lot with both children and adults with disabilities using music therapy, as well as by providing staff assistance in a group home for over 2 years. In 2010, I changed up my life a bit and went over to South Korea to teach English (and came back to live in the states again in September, 2016). As an English teacher of Pre-K, Kindergarten and elementary students, I was able to utilize music into my lessons and Read more saw the benefits of music therapy in the field of education. Currently, I have an online job teaching English to children in China! It is part-time and takes up my early morning hours. So, I would be available to do childcare between the hours of 1pm- 7pm Monday - Saturday. I can also be flexible if something comes up, but generally, this is what would work best.
