Sittercity helps Mound families find the best babysitters

I first started on sitter city in 2008. It did not take long to meet and care for the children of several families. Many of the relationships were long term so I became inactive on the site. My last family moved just before Covid took hold. I had just updated my child infant CPR and first aid as I intended to start looking again. That didn’t happen because of Covid so I’m starting again now. I did raise 6 children of my own, worked as a nanny for 10 years and have been actively babysitting for Sittercity families for 10 years. I’m looking for occasional sitting opportunities in my area. My CPR is up to date and I would love to interview with your family.

I have been babysitting for 5+ years and am CPR and first aid certified. I started work at a Montessori school in 2019, staying with the company for 5+ years! I started as a float getting experience in all of the classrooms(infant, toddler, preschool) but eventually found myself stationed in the toddler room. After I few years I worked my way up to the lead teacher of the toddler room and was there for about 2 years. I am now a part-time nanny looking for babysitting gigs/more part-time nanny positions or pet sitting opportunities. I have always found working with children as my passion. I became a certified babysitter for the first time when I was 11. I have always loved children, and as an adult I began working with preschool aged children professionally 10 years ago, when I worked in an infant room at a kindercare while earning a certificate of Montessori Education. Ever since I have worked in preschools, day care centers, nannied and babysat children, from ages 0-10. I love observing each child's special interests and following these to help them learn more about the world. I have experience with twins and potty-training. I currently work at a local preschool with toddlers, 16-36 months olds.
