Growing up as the eldest of five kids was a babysitting job in itself, so I've been building experience since I was 8 years-old. From there, I picked up a lot of babysitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I began volunteering as a camp counselor at the Wayzata Girl Scout Camp in 2006 and worked there every summer until 2016; at this camp I was in charge of a group of girls aged 8-12 and we did a wide range of outdoor activities and crafts, as well as had discussions about teamwork, hard work, trying new things, and exploring different cultures. I worked as a summer nanny for a 10 year-old boy over the summer of 2015; I took him to batting cages, planned his meals, and kept him bust with summer activities. During my freshman year of college (Oct. 2016 - May 2017) I volunteered with the Big Read more Brothers Big Sisters program, during which I was paired with a 7 year-old girl from an underprivileged neighborhood and would help her with her schoolwork and fun activities. During the summer of 2018 I was a full-time camp counselor at the Cellar Gym, the sole counselor in charge of 12-20 kids (depending on the day) aged 4-12 years. During Covid I nannied for a boy aged 7 - I acted both as his nanny and his teacher as he was doing school remotely. I have always loved working with kids; my most rewarding and enjoyable jobs have been those I've had in childcare. A little bit more about me: I just graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in May. I love the outdoors, staying active, animals, reading, and all things arts and crafts!
