I became a care giver because I love to be able to watch the child grow and develope as time moves along and it's an amazing opportunity to be able to bring some joy in that child's life for the short time I'm there. I worked at Children's Country Day Preschool as a teachers aid for 2 summers and was responsible for a group of 20+ 2-3 year olds one year and 4-5 years olds the next. That was an amazing experience where I got to watch these kids learn and grow. We went swimming, played on the playground, did arts and crafts, did educational activities and even ride ponies. I also worked as a babysitter for an 8 and 10 year old boy. That was a different experience as they are more rambunctious but we had fun playing at the park, doing arts and crafts and going for walks. Read more I also have a 4 old niece and 3 year old nephew and a 8 year old cousin that I adore to spend time with. I've learned how to remain call during chaotic times, how to talk to the children in a assertive yet respectful and calm way, and how to have fun while working! My goal is to brighten up the children's day and add some fun to it while always remaining safe.
