Hi! I am a patient, kind, and respectful 23yo who has 5 years of experience working with kids, ranging from pre-K through high school, though most of my time has been with elementary aged children. I started off in high school as an early learning tutor with Kumon, and have since held kids care para positions at 2 different public school districts, currently with the IGH district. I have also lifeguarded for a total of 3 years, and have privately supervised kids' swim parties. I am currently CPR/AED and First Aid certified, and always prepared! Though I am not certified by any means in the field, I have also worked well with children who have emotional or developmental delays in the past. I enjoy meeting kids where they're at, wherever that may be, and helping them grow and strengthen their social emotional and academic skill sets! I like to do Read more this by engaging them in activities that promote their innate curiosity and ability to learn, and asking questions that make them think rather than simply provide an answer. I of course can also provide homework help and tutoring, so that your child may foster a better understanding and comfort with academic topics. My strengths lie primarily in reading, science, social studies, and arts, and I can provide assistance up to middle school level math. I believe that the best way to approach a kid who is having a tough time emotionally, behaviorally, or academically is with incredible care, patience, and perseverance. Every kid has the capacity to do well and succeed, it's up to us as adults to give them the tools to do so! I'm currently looking for hours either before 12pm or after 6pm during the weekdays, with flexible scheduling during the weekend.
